Natixis HKFC U13s Grand Champions

The U 13’s Division 1 team had an outstanding year, losing just one game on the way to winning both the League and Grand Championship. A very dominant performance in a very competitive league, which included strong opponents such as Discovery Bay, Sandy Bay and Valley Fort. The season culminated in victory in a hard-fought Cup final against Discovery Bay.  In this performance they demonstrated the brand of rugby that had got them this far. Most impressive, however, was the strength of character shown by the boys to come back from being beaten comprehensively by the same team just the week before. Congratulations to all the boys on a very well deserved win!

Division 2 team made massive improvements throughout the season. From a player development perspective the season was definitely a success with the boys benefitting from plenty of game time. The boys showed outstanding sportsmanship at the Bowl Final by lending the opposition team players in order to alleviate a potential forfeiture by the opposing team and enjoy a competitive match, which ultimately resulted in a tight loss by a single match point.

In summary, a very strong performance by the players and show of true character throughout the season, highlighted by a  come-from-behind win by the 1st Division in the Cup Final and a show of exemplary sportsmanship by 2nd Division during the Bowl Final.
